Everything about PKC.

Where is PKC Coffee grown?

+

PKC Coffee is grown at Kudiraipanjan Estate in the Shevaroy Hills near Yercaud, Tamil Nadu, South India, between 4,000 and 4,600 feet (1,220–1,400 m) elevation in the Eastern Ghats.

How long has the estate been operating?

+

The Kudiraipanjan Estate was founded in 1878. The PKC Coffee brand was established in 1923. The estate is currently in its third generation of family stewardship.

Is PKC Coffee certified organic?

+

Yes. PKC follows 100% organic and biodynamic farming practices, with no synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. We hold NPOP organic certification and are FSSAI and FIEO registered for export.

What coffee varieties does PKC grow?

+

PKC grows only Arabica, shade-grown under a multi-tiered canopy. Varietals include Geisha, SLN 9, SLN 13, Yellow Bourbon, Catimor and other heirloom Arabica selections.

What processing methods do you offer?

+

We produce washed, natural, honey (black, red, golden), koji, anaerobic, carbonic maceration, lactic, yeast-inoculation and fruit-maceration lots. Every lot is hand-picked at peak ripeness, slow-dried and rested at least 20 days before export.

What cupping scores do PKC coffees achieve?

+

Our specialty lots routinely score between 85 and 88+ on the SCA scale. Experimental anaerobic and koji lots have achieved 88+ in third-party cupping.

Do you export internationally?

+

Yes. PKC Coffee is FIEO-registered and exports green coffee worldwide to specialty roasters, importers and trade buyers. We ship in 30 kg and 60 kg jute / GrainPro packing and offer custom packing on request.

Can I request samples?

+

Yes. Send your sample request and roastery details through our contact page. We typically ship 200–500 g samples per requested lot to verified trade buyers.

What is the minimum order quantity?

+

Minimum order is one bag (30 kg) for available micro-lots and one container or partial container for standard washed and natural lots. Larger commitments allow forward contracts on specific micro-lots.

When is the PKC harvest season?

+

Arabica harvest at the Shevaroy Hills runs roughly from late November through February, with selective hand-picking of cherries at peak ripeness across multiple passes.

Is PKC Coffee single estate?

+

Yes. Every lot is grown, processed and rested entirely at Kudiraipanjan Estate — fully traceable to a single farm, with no blending across origins.

How is PKC's coffee sustainable?

+

We farm under native shade trees, conserve water through closed-loop washing systems, compost all processing by-products and protect Shevaroy Hills biodiversity. See our sustainability page for full details.
